Some great points raised here. I do however think you’re all forgetting one thing- Casinos don’t make their money from responsible gamblers... They make it from the compulsive degenerate addicted type. Putting barriers in place to prevent that customer type would severely impact revunue and probably close a lot of franchises down.

I think that you are not giving credit to all the contributions beforehand. Casinos make money from all gamblers equally over time depending upon the edge of the game involved. The edge on roulette is around 2.7% and for every stake made over time this is their effective edge or margin whether is is from an addicted gambler or not.

The proportion of people who gamble that are addicted or problem gamblers is really very low in overall terms. That is not to belittle the impact of the consequences of addiction for those individuals or their familes and friends but simply to illustrate that the vast majority of people are able to gamble and remain in control.

Whilst casinos  obviously do make money from problem gamblers they would much prefer to make money from the ordinary gamblers who they are able to entertain, obtain their margin, and expect to revisit without any future repercussions or complaints. I am sure that any casino manager will tell you that the problem gamblers create all of the hassle, take up the most resouces, and offer scant reward for the effort required to look after them.

Casinos and other gambling establishments are regulated, poorly in my own opinion, yet even that poorly regulated environment is miles better than an unregulated environment. People will always gamble and any move to close down or restrict regulated businesses may result in routing players to a far more dangerous option.

Placing as many barriers and safeguards in the path of problem gamblers is of course the right thing to do and I would imagine that you would not find even one dissenting voice surrounding this even on a gambling forum.

Proper regulation is about improving the whole enterprise of both the gambers and the providers. The weakest providers would be forced out by being unable to comply with regulations or by market forces as the industry evolves. Personally, the regulation that allowed every bookmakers to place four FOBT's in their sites on so many streets in the UK was monumentally wrong. These machines were invariably located in areas with socio economic groups where the negative impact is likely to be felt the most. The bookmakers, household names and large FTSE companies, perpetrated a cash and grab on some of the poorest and most deprived areas of the UK. The bookmakers' sites became little more than glorified amusement arcades with sky high stakes.

To say that the franchised casinos are any worse than this requires a bit of consideration and I am just not sure it would be true.

Totally agree with your thought process and idea around regulation changes. It’s long overdue and with tech as advanced as it is nowadays it is possible. I just can’t ever see it happening unfortunately. The UKGC have been awful in the UK especially, along with dated laws around online gambling by government. They’ve only stepped up things recently in light of all the pressure regarding lock-down online gambling as land-based wasn’t possible. I like your idea of providing entertainment but the main goal is to take Money from customers with “entertainment” as a front. I appreciate everything you say and your comments are well received.
As for high street bookies they don’t accept bets from informed gamblers, you can only play there if you are a gambler and lose, FOBT’s are also still a massive problem on £2 stake stylishly and slickly designed to take money from the poorest in the land .

I think i replied to you - i have sorted all the contact forms this morning.

Still having massive issues with this casino. As I complained about the length of time it was taking to  process my withdrawals (currently 8 days). I have to wait until the complaints team has looked into the matter before they can process a cash out meaning I now need to wait longer. Any casino that leaves a withdrawal pending and reversible for this length of time is very strange. I would strongly question their tactics and administration times.  The support agents are unhelpful and at times I feel sarcastic?

Here's my latest transcript

Lucky100 - 27/05/2020 at 04:14

Klasino actually confiscated my bonus winnings this week also, I deposited £100, managed to beat the wager requirements with £900 left, only to Be told after a day or two that my Bonus amount has been confiscated, and my account is banned from any future bonuses on their site and any of their network.

I left it, moved on because I understand the  likelihood of them recrediting my account with £800 is very slim. (Ps; I am positive I never went over £2.50 stakes while in bonus money, let alone £5!) seems fishy.

Did they give you a reason for confiscating it?

Hi, does anybody know how to best contact Craig or Jimbo regarding an issue with Casino Planet? I've logged a contact form and started a thread however don't seem to have received a response? I may be approaching this incorrectly so apologies if so, do they still assist with support for casinos they affiliate?

I had issue aswell the expiry is weird thing just change it to expiry on drivers license. Seems like a sneaky trick to catch people out. Took my a week to verify account and process withdraw. They wanted pdf bank statements and no pictures. Just send it all again and change the expiry thing you’d have to Wait then

You could be right as t the fact they rely on you to enter the expiry date is a strange process when they want copies of your ID- I can’t think of any logical reason for this? I’m hoping one of the affiliates from Gamblers Den can have a word and nudge it along for me. Gotta say the chat is useless, and when they say at the end “is there anything else I can assist you with” after failing miserably with your initial concerns is the ultimate rub down!

I have lost nearly €40000 leaving me debt of €14000 I have really lost self control this pandemic has really been very bad for my financial condition I feel like all online casinos are at the peak of been rigged litterally no one win any money anymore what you guys think

If you’re ready and wanting to quit there’s some great podcasts out there to help during this stressful period. Gambling adds were up 300% during March- April which isn’t helping anyone who struggles with compulsive gambling. Gamstop is effective right now as there’s no other legitimate platforms other than online, this would stop the losses but you may need to understand more about why you gamble if you really want to quit and get on top of your debts and feelings. Feel free to contact me if you require anymore info.

Hi all, just wondering if anyone else had experienced issues with withdrawals or account verification processes with Casino Planet? Deposited £150 and took a 100% welcome bonus through GamblersDen link. Very luckily hit 1580X win on Piggy Riches Megaways £4 stake. This was within bonus funds so proceeded to work my way through wagering (max stake £4). All said and done I was fortunate to end with a balance of £6404.00 which I withdrew Tuesday 19th. Upon withdrawal I was immediately e-mailed some verification requests which is fair enough. I sent them a UK passport, UK drivers license, UK Council tax bill and the Bank Card proof they requested. Around 10 minutes later they e-mailed me stating my documents were expiring today and I needed to update them? Strange as all of the time frame ID has years to go until expiry. I e-mailed them back with the info again outlining expiry dates, still not had a response! As the time frame has now expired as to what they state is the maximum amount of time to allow for account verification/withdrawals they are still yet to verify my account or process my withdrawals! I have spoken with numerous agents who state they will escalate the case and still have got nowhere. Disappointingly they don't have customer service managers available to speak with, even more concerning they can't give you a time frame as to when one could possibly be available in the future! I've been told just to wait until someone gets in touch with me. Just wondering if anyone else has had issues or can offer any advice. I have forwarded a contact form to the GamblersDen team this morning hoping they can provide some assistance if at all possible. Thanks for reading :)
