Okay so, I never thought I was addicted.

However for the last 2 days I gambled money from an emergency fund that was about to be used on something on Thursday. ( don’t want to get into too many personal details)

It wasn’t my money to begin with, just had access to them. I’m 120€ euro down and the other person won’t even know until Thursday.

I have tried borrowing the amount as I get paid on Saturday but for obvious reasons couldn’t manage so.

I tried getting a quick cash in hand shift (kitchen porter or anything really) and didn’t manage so.

so I’m officially excluding myself from all online gambling, and I’m totally fucked for Thursday but I’ll have to take responsibility..

Remember to keep gambling fun guys !

Hi mate! Sorry to hear you gambled away your emergency fund. Hopefully the person wont be hard on you as you get paid Saturday just say you will pay it back then and apologise for the 2 days inbetween. Big step you opening up and being honest though so respect for that! Also glad you've excluded yourself! People on here will always be available for a chat so dont feel down man!

yep 100% I don’t think I’ll gamble as much. I’ve excluded myself from 7 casinos so far. I’m still fucked tho. Hope it works out

Even if its just for the minimum 6 months, its a start! Can you borrow off a friend? If not then just explain the situation and that you will pay back Saturday an hope they understand.

The money was my friends accomodation money for his holiday on Thursday. The money was on my Skrill account as it was originally mine but gave it to him as a gift...

now he’s 120€ down for his accommodation and he’s very tight with money himself anyhow

I already called every soul I knew , it does make you reconsider who you’re calling a friend.

already signed up for 6 months realised how big of a problem gambler I am.

still looking for a shift or something but no luck.

well I have one day and I hope I can sort it out.

Sorry to hear! Hope you manage to sort the situation.

I have finally got sorted by doing something very idiotic. I’ve gambled an additional 40€. Had an ridiculously good immersive roulette streak and just cashed out 220! Life is good haha. I know this wouldn’t work 9/10 and was stupid but oh well, it worked

Davey is right. It's a dark path you are taking from the story above. I've been there myself many, many....many.....times..... but I'm older and wiser now and don't do silly things to fund gambling. If you're young in your late teens or early twenties (sounds like it from the story) then LISTEN when i say that you will end up in this situtaion again and you may not get a lucky escape. Don't gamble, it's not for you.

All the world's a stage and most of us are desperately unrehearsed.

Yes, gambling addiction is real, it's like a drug, as addictive as any substance. So when you feel you are on this path the first step is to recognize it and seek help. This could have repercussions in your daily life.

It's really a nice step to realize it mate. I won't encourage you to keep trying with gambling, so hopefully you will find something satisfactory to enjoy. It worries me that you keep gambling even when I know you did because you lack of options. I wish you the strengh to keep apart from the gambling industry honestly, at least for a couple months before trying any way of control yourself
