It is very rare I post here I read a lot of stuff and keep my views to myself been following the lads for over 7/8 years now and they are great no bullshit with these boys I’ve had the odd giveaway win etc .
My post today focuses on UK slots , now I know most of us already know reasons such as auto spins no bonus buys etc are fucking annoying. I have managed just about to fight through the annoying things using auto click software is one shortcut and just accepting some games whilst they are the higher variance are just not feasible in the UK without buys.
What I have finally begun to not accept and has ruined slots for me is simply the amount of money these games take to even bonus or to begin thinking about giving a bonus just dead spin after dead spin and no base game wins of note. I generally play 40/60/80p some games it’s £40-50 for a bonus that pays 10x and yes that’s just slots I get that but now we also have to factor in because of how slow these things play now it’s half an hour of time and £40-50 quid loss for 10x becomes unbearable . I think right now we’re just being completely fingered and actually it’s becoming a complete robbery , yes i expect to lose each deposit of course I do but where has the fun gone for that cash .
Sometimes I resort to playing low variance games that I don’t particularly like but will do it just for a few bonuses and a bit of fun , golden colts the easiest game on planet earth to bonus 40 p stakes £23 pound it took for a bonus that paid £4.
Pragmatic I think there games are great I enjoy them but why have they become games that basically are bonus or bust , there base game wins are lower than the stake majority of the time so even a winning spin becomes a losing one and with dead spins ultimately your balance is bartered . There bonuses also put of 10 spins you might get one winning spin the rest dead . It is not about losing money just but where is the excitement in a bonus that pays on one spin of 10 and the rest dead it doesn’t make sense to me . Are we just mugs in the UK feeding these things and getting laughed at are we simply filling the bankroll for there out of UK offerings for bonus buyers etc ?
BTG and megaways - where to even begin with these , firstly they are slower than ever Jesus it’s dull but my main gripe with BTG is again the bonuses not only does it takes hours and a shit load of money to land if your lucky enough to land it but then the bonus is just dead spins nearly 90% of the time there’s no fun in these bonus games anymore it’s completely fucked . Also building a 10-15x multi in the first few spins to then get dead spins for every other spin is draining on excitement we all know the potential of a win has gone when really it should bring that excitement of hope and for regular players it’s so obvious that the bonus is done and you’ve not even hit anything of note .
Lil devil needs a forum post of its own I’ve personally played 10s of thousands of spins on this game the heartstopper thing is one of the worst things I’ve ever witnessed and been a part of , 5x for hours of spins and nowadays you can go the whole 40 hearts without hitting a single bonus
i know this has turned into a bit of a rant so I’ll stop moaning my main point is not money loss that’s my responsibility and my own doing for playing on , it’s more the fun has gone these providers are not interesting on making games that play well anymore just games that can take money and pay one person on Sweden once every 60 weeks .
what can be done to fix this ? I am not sure anything can be done the UK shaw become a market that just accepts losing money to games that have no intention of paying or providing enjoyment .
is it just me that has sank to this feeling that slots are finished in the UK , am I being to negative ?

I feel you on a fair few points. Book of Golden Sands on Pragmatic......whenever I play that it just takes and takes and takes. Only ever had one shit bonus on it. I daren't try new games because when I do they don't do anything for me. I stuck £60 in last night and over the course of 2 games on 10/20p stake I got 1 bonus....just one.
Flip side is that it is slots. Go on them at the right time and you're quids in. Nothing can be done and it will just get worse. Switch to crypto if it gets to you too much and at least you can buy bonuses then.
Yea mate I played that the other day on 40p , £60 quid down no bonus and very few wins in base think £3.60 was the best win I had . Frustrating isn’t it and I know it’s easy for people to say just don’t play then If there shit but there’s no better thing for me than a game just playing well even if the bonuses aren’t paying great even just landing the bonus and playing them out thats the excitement for me and I assume others those big bass shite doing the circuit aswell are another max pay is 50-100 x I’ve never seen a max win fish . There so predictable 5 dead spins , 3 fisherman ago tease you piss take.
I've stayed away from the Big Bass series but recently really found them fun. I like Big Bass Splash as you get the 2 scatter respin.
If you don't fancy crypto where you'll be able to get the bonuses you seem to be after, swap about casinos. If you're running dry on one, doesn't mean it'll happen elsewhere.

Big bass splash I use RockNRolla stile I do like 5 spins high stake got one time in £10 I just click on Bonus to start WHG banned me lol but they paid me just over 9k, not even sure how much bonus paid, fker they banned me for doing high stake safer gambling bs I only did 10 spins in £10 and another 10 on a book of dead
Off the bat, love the content of the first post, well written contribution.
I've longer wondered whether the chase for high variance and bigger wins has been a driver of a worsening experience. Sure, it gets masked when you have ultra-turbo-power spins that get through 100 clicks in a matter of seconds, or can bypass the build up and jump straight to a bonus, but even those options are arguably less enjoyable than having a bit more game for your money.
I suppose my mind is skewed by being an old fucker - spending my teenage years in the late 90s where peak gambling for years was all about 20-30p per spin to a jackpot of £10-£25. So at best a hit of 50-100x, maybe getting to hit that 2 or maybe 3 times in a row but mostly getting 4-10x offers and seeing it ripped it away from you when the machine tempted you into punting lower than an 11 and spins in the inevitable 12 😅 But even allowing for the higher level of interaction compared to modern online slots, the fact the prize was still so relatively small meant that it was regularly achievable, meant that the machines could happily throw out the offer of lots of smaller regular wins and never risk throwing out the overall RTPs.
Online seemed to be largely similar in the early days. You may have some Jackpot King style seeded pot sitting across games, but aside from that you were never really looking at more than around 100x but with the benefit of expecting to see a bonus within 100 spins quite regularly... even if (by today's standards) it would pay a pretty shit amount.
More recently, as players, certainly those that advertise casinos on video, there has been the drive for an ability to see more and more crazy wins - big win videos are always a huge draw, we all dream of hitting the 5,000x Pragmatic max win (which I can confirm is a massive buzz, thin brag), or potentially life changing super bonus on a NLC game... but the downside is providers have no choice but to take way more RTP out of base games, make bonuses far rarer and yet continue to see lots of average-to-shit bonuses (as there always has been) all to fund those increasingly rare megahits.
Now the genie is out the bottle I'm not sure those that have experienced this time would ever want to return to a world with only low variance options? But from my old fart point of view it has made the overall experience far less enjoyable, regardless of the slower spin times or lack of autoclicking.
PS I'd add that bonus gambling still feels the biggest dirt in this high variance world. Nothing creates monkey tilt in me these days such as a game like that new Murtos Megaways, spunking away a bonus after hundreds of clicks and only being given a seemingly pointless 6 spin bonus... then feeling committed to always gamble up until hitting a decent number and feeling I've got my value from the game. Mug brain :)
