For info, this is the outcome of their research:
There were 33 problem gamblers quizzed.358 other slot players, of which 190 used auto play.
42% of them said that autoplay made them lose track of their gambling.
'Almost a third' said using it made it harder for them to quit gambling.
The main driver for the ban seems to be that most people were doing other things during the autoplay, which is perceived to mean they aren't in control because they aren't monitoring their losses.
its always gonna be the "problem" ppl that gets to runing the fun for the rest. give it max 5 years and the only ppl still gambling will be the "problem gambers " the rest have given up as its top impossible to jump tru all the 900 ballon stands in the way of having a session of action .
as im not from the uk are they doing this all across the sports and poker bets too ?`or is it only restricted to slots and live casino ?
