Now to be upfront I would never normally play a scratch card because they are boring and a bit of a con.

Sky Vegas offers a daily spin on a wheel for logging in.

Over the past three months I have logged in most days and have received a cash bonus on probably a third of those occasions to be used a on a scratch card. The RTP is about 80% and the chances of winning a prize are about 4.2 -1

On the thirty or so occasions I have played these with the bonus I have NEVER once received a prize.

How bad could these things actually be for people who choose to play them

I find all scratch cards a massive waste of time. Only worth a purchase once a year to see if you get lucky and get a top prize.

I did get a £1 bonus on Well Well Well Live at Ladbrokes from their wheel today. Put 20p on all the bonuses and number 6 and the 2 spin bonus came in for £4.80. Span that on Book to £11 and lost it. First time ever that a spin on the wheel actually produced something to play with.

TBF as shite as they are I've also had the free ones off Sky and Paddy in the past and I probably am not far off the 4.2/1 ratio, even though that is littered with 'free card' or 10p wins, have maybe had 50p once from maybe 100 cards in my lifetime.

Odd they even exist... can't imagine who tf sits there playing through such terrible games.  Then I remember that things like Starburst still shows up amongst the most played slots on virtually all sites, so the majority of gamblers obviously love to spunk their money in an incredibly dull and depressing way.
