Guys I'm useless with PayPal so maybe someone can advise me.

If my PayPal balance is zero shouldn't I still be able to spend through my PayPal using my linked bank account. When I get redirected the option isn't coming up at all.

I've only ever used it once or twice so maybe I'm mistaken but I thought this was how I've done it before.

I recently lost my debit card and had to freeze it and you can do nothing online without it. I can't even send money from my bank to PayPal because I have to use a poxy card reader and a card I don't have.

But shouldn't it just take the money directly from my bank account when I choose PayPal? The option just isn't coming up when I get redirected.

Any aadvice would be appreciated

If your Paypal account is in good stead and you have direct debit set up then you can put payments through that way. It doesn't always give you the option.

If i have understood rightly then it will be because your bank is blocking paypal due to the freeze on the card, as a paypal transaction that uses your card to pay acts like a normal online transaction

You can more than likely do a bank wire but that takes a few days to get in to paypal.

Found this forum and apparently it's been an issue for many people lately.

Some have said the option appears sometimes and sometimes doesn't even when paying for the exact same thing from the exact same site so will just try again tomorrow.

Cheers for the replies gents.
