Hi, after some advice, recently signed up to BC game and opened a Kraken account to deposit  crypto currency, was going okay however I am now having issues with my banks regarding transferring money to my Kraken account. Initially it seemed fine but now Natwest are either blocking my attempts to deposit to kraken or limiting what I can deposit, I tried to deposit from a different account I have with Halifax and they blocked the transfer and blocked my online banking with them!

is there an alternative  easier way as the major banks seem very anti crypto and look to make it difficult,  in general how are people funding their crypto wallets? Any advice appreciated thanks

Try just manual transfers (in kraken), they are still very quick, and the banks can do nothing!

Make sure you send different amounts (even if just by 1p each time) to make sure they dont get held up

Thanks for the reply, yeah I switched to the direct transfers and they still limited me.

They just don't like or approve of the whole crypto thing I guess

I’m with Santander and have no issue at all. Have you spoken to your bank? They shouldn’t be restricting where you spend your money, maybe it’s a security measure that can be taken off your account.

Just link a paypal account to your card and use that.

Thanks for the replies, Natwest seem to have strict rules in place and won't budge on limits when sending to crypto wallets , its okay for now but will look into using an alternative like PayPal, not sure if the charges are more so will sit down and investigate when I can, cheers

Hi  Jarvis946  did you try the manual transfer page, where you are literally just sending to a bank account?

vs ...I think its called Plaid?

Hi  Pilo  yeah I have tried the manual transfer page on Kraken and that way is the issue, Natwest just block any deposits I make when doing  it that way. 

I can make a transfer directly from my banking app to Kraken however Natwest have set a limit per day on that, its okay and manageable for now just annoying if you hit the limit and cant redeposit, I will just sort out a PayPal or another bank account when I get a minute.

What they are blocking the payment out? blimey.

Id recommend a bank like monzo.. so far they have been the best for those.
