I had a session last night where I spent £110 on firstly big bass splash then on goonies at 40p stakes.
I did not manage a single bonus in 275x but accumulated around 69 losing teases. I know the games are random but seriously there must be a point where the game providers just realise that all this would do is trigger people not to play their slots at all.
I think double figures is too many. Teases are there to keep you playing but you have to have a decent chance of it landing. Too many teases - taking the piss. Too few - taking the piss. Both trigger you.
69 is a great number but that's just depressing 😝
I think more games should build in a Lil Devil type approach, where at least a certain amount of teases will guarantee you a 'lucky loser' bonus.
Personally I hate it more the other way, but that's just because of the way I approach games. Mentally committing to '1 more tease' or '3 teases and I'll move on', only to then have all bonus symbols deleted from the reels and stubbornly be left spinning for 400+ clicks before the game deigns to drop one in (Top Dawgs, I'm looking at you)... and before anyone says it, no I'm not daft enough to chase a tease on Wanted Dead or a Wild 😅
Haha funny you mention that shakin. First time I played wanted dead or a wild I lost around £100 on 40p a spin waiting for one tease. One that never came. Didn't realise until I saw it on a stream that a tease is a guaranteed bonus. Bloody moron. 😂
I've always wondered people's views on the WDOaW mechanic of no teases. I quite like it knowing when it comes it is in, no messing about. Would you like that for all games though?
NGL I like a good bonus tease - and for reasons that plenty of studies have proven, as gamblers we get pretty much the same level of dopamine hit from a near miss as we do from landing an actual bonus / big win. If they expanded on those studies there is probably something that could identify the optimum level of teases / near misses, as presumably too many of them (Cowboy's Gold, hi there) will overload the brain and push things over the edge into mental frustration > enjoyment.
In terms of knowing it's coming in, no messing about.... I'd rather they just reinstated bonus buys to provide that level of certainty 😂
