Sat here watching The Mummy (1999), the Brendan Fraser one. Not seen it for many years, good film.

As I'm watching, the scene with the Scarabs comes on and I'm thinking 'ha, they look like the ones in Book of Dead'. Shortly after Brendan Fraser says to Rachel Weisz to call him Rick and I'm thinking wait a minute, he actually looks like Rich Wilde from the game.......right, if they have a Book of the Dead in this then PlayNGo absolutely based their game around this. Low and behold, 10 mins later the Americans open up something and what's inside.....The Book of the Dead. 

10's of thousands of spins through the game (I even call the explorer symbol Rick in my head rather than Rich) and I never put 2 and 2 together.
