Just something I've wondered about with the 4.5 (?) guys that stream under the GD banner, what drives you to stick with the brands you do?
I mean, with reasonably well established viewer numbers you could (presumably) obtain financially beneficial deals linking to Crypto casinos, with the added benefit of playing with all the much-missed toys like autoplay, turbo spin and bonus buys.
To a person who is nothing more than someone that enjoys the streams as a bit of light-hearted entertainment after work, I obviously have little understanding of the ins and outs, but on the face of it that seems to be a route that would be most profitable for you... with that added benefit of it being easier (autos) and more fun (bonus buys) as well.
Is it a limitation of UK gambling regs (ie you can't sign up UK players to such places) or something else?
Mind, if you ever did and we started seeing even
HaHa lol Imagine us over on the Crypto scene, that would be a laugh lol
We hardly bought bonuses even when you could as we had more fun playing the base game but I'm now actually wishing we could buy them as lately I'm going well over a 100x to get a bonus, sometimes 200x and sometimes even more without getting the bonus. There was a game last week, Dinopolis I went £55 with no bonus, I more or less could've bought 3 bonuses on most slots for that and that is when I wish I had the choice to buy a bonus, even if they limited how many you could buy each week or each month, obviously it would be what they thought you could afford each month, with each person having a different amount you could buy.
More and more people are asking about the crypto scene but I honestly haven't got a clue about any of it.
Are you talking about us UK folk actively getting deals and affiliation with crypto casinos for signups?
If i'm being brutally honest, if i was to start promoting crypto casinos i fear our UK brands that we have long standing with, might be inclined to cut us off or not allow us to continue affiliation. This is a grey area though...
Saying that, I know for a fact we could get crypto deals that would pay WAY more than what we earn now, should we take them and drop our UK affiliation. But we wont get any credit for not being greedy and saying no to that, sadly.
Also i struggle with the morals of promoting crypto only because it allows people to get around responsible gambling limits and of course gamstop.
That being said, if i was no longer able to affiliate UK casinos in the future, or the gambling scene got so tightly regulated that i couldn't make money from affiliation, then i would effectively consider going full crypto but making a big effort to only target GEO's that allow crypto play legitimately.
For now, as long as we're able to promote UK and gamble how we want (bar some missed things like autoplays) then i have no interest in promoting crypto, lucrative as it would be.
I still play on the crypto if i'm having a punt though, fuck the UK regs when trying to have a proper gamble.
Yeah I agree with Craig 100%.
I think as Craig and Jimbo promote UK casinos here, it probably would not be right to promote Crypto casinos. Maybe a side brand or site to promote them could be considered, but I think they way the lads do it now is way more upstanding than any other affiliate out there.
I personally think that crypto casinos can be good, but there is a higher risk to playing there than the legit UK casinos. I think the fact you can on crypto sites even when on Gamstop/Gamban etc is not good, so Craig is right in saying that the affiliation companies with the UK sites the promote would not be happy at all and could end the partnership.
