Any Pop game I've played has been a total balance ripper.  Never had one land in less than a couple of hundred spins... probably should all be on the ban list but I kinda like the concept, bit different to most.  And my gamblers logic is convinced I 'must be due' to land a first press Monkey Pop bonus soon!

Midnight Marauder for me mate, I cannot land the bonus to save myself, one of the times I spent about £50 on 20p and I must be at least £120 in total with zero bonuses..

Dead or a wild currently as well for me and don’t think I’ve ever seen an Irish riches megaways bonus stopped playing it ages ago but can’t remember seeing a bonus on it never mind get one myself

There are a few games that actually only bonus on average every 2100 spins.

There is a Vikings themed game that I cannot remember but it may be called Viking hoard and one called respin circus that are just beyond the pale.

the average time taken to obtain a bonus would be over an hour and a half and that is just nuts

I just find buying boring. It just feels like the slots again, but you lose your money faster. 
Weirdly, I find playing the games normally is like betting against a bonus buy, like I bet i can get a bonus in less that the cost of the buy, and theres a fair bit of enjoyment in that for me.
 If you buy a few in a row, especially if they all pay dog poos, it is disheartening and boring, and you have spent all your moolah very quick.

Having said that DOAII has a bonus buy edition. You can buy a 9c bonus for $6 it can drop 5 scatters for $225.00 out the gate, before the bonus has even started.
and obviously it can drop the 110kx aswell. (which on 9c is still $9900 or 1650 times bonus buy bet) Very addicting, slow too, but at least its not a lot of money to have a considerable number of turns at it.

On the flip side to that ^^^ it feels hateful with modern games that you can't now bonus buy and:

  1. They can burn through an hour of play without even a bonus tease, let alone a bonus, ripping you for way more than 100x without any real fun for your money
  2. You land the bonus but realistically face a number of all-or-nothing gambles which means a high chance of not actually seeing a bonus and having to play for hours to land enough bonuses to stand a fair chance of hitting the top of the gamble ladder

I guess this is the downside to the modern focus on big jackpots and super high variance.  Would never have had this consideration back in the early days of spinning games like Starburst and landing the 'feature' every 10 spins or so 😂 

Although speaking of which, technically Starburst XXXtreme is the one game you can still bonus buy (to land the guaranteed 2 wild reels).  Not sure how that is a totally acceptable way to let people spin 95x stake every few seconds but paying 100x for a guaranteed bonus on, say White Rabbit, is illegal, but there's your misguided regulation for you!

a lot of bonus buys are cheap some relax games are also 70x 

same with nolimit 3 scatter on 20c cost like $14

yes you can lose fast but same time you can win fast, I don't go crazy on buying but some games like doa2 is boring to sit there and spin

For my last 2 deposits on $100 each, I did crypt of the dead and got lucky both times I profit 8x of my deposit

I stay away from games I need to gamble bonus like extra chili
