Don't worry, if I do, I wont mention it on here and it will have nothing to do with my username on here, so this isn't some dodgy advertising attempt.

I'm just wondering if anyone is doing it and knows if it's profitable for newcomers?

It seems to me that the market is so saturated now that it would be extremely hard for anyone new to the game to get a leg up and that most people have already signed up to most reputable casinos.

What are your thoughts guys?

I used to think about and want to do this about 2 year ago. You hit the nail on the head though, the market is saturated and I think you would struggle to make money out of it unless you sold out and became one of the fakes. My advice would be to find some niche in the market that no-one has thought of doing before. It's the only edge you have.

The whole mechanic of making money out of affiliate streaming is now almost impossible for any new entrants.

Prior to starting anything now you should realise that the halcyon days are now gone. The opportunity taken up by the likes of Stop and Step, The Bandit and Rocknrolla was an entirely different opportunity to that that exists nowadays. I would liken it to online poker where in the late 1990's it was possible to make a living playing online poker merely by being proficient yet today beating the rake is an achievement for most players who are equally, if not more proficient, than in the 1990's.

Without in any way distrespecting Stop and Step as I genuinely do like him the likelihood of his personality and demeanour gaining the same subscriber base today is unthinkable. A similar situation would surround Chipmonkz as his pumping out of content is now diluted by the fact that many others do this too now, this was the way he managed to gain subscribers by simply saturating the daily streaming content.

The likes of Fruity Slots and the trio of Skill on Net affiliates, Azzi, BobSlots and Spinitin now saturate the searches even more and whilst they do not drown out the other streamers they certainly act as a barrier to entry. Whether these streamers are using fake money or not is irrelevent if all you are trying to do is be seen behind this deluge of daily content.

Without doubt there are "entertainers" funded by games providers and less than honest casinos who will create a regular steam of sensationlised content that will garner the interest of a lot of viewers ahead of anything a self funded streamer could realistically offer on a consistent basis.

The lads at Low Stake Slots hae managed to carve out a niche in the low stakes community and they are genuinely a pleasure to watch. This, if was considering your scheme, would be the route to go much as weemonk has alluded to in suggesting a niche market. There are issues even here.

a) there would be no guarantee that this audience could ever be converted to a sufficiently profitable player base.

b) many of these players will already have joined multiple casinos already

c) the casino options at lower subscriber levels may limit the affiliation to only  new and smaller casinos desperate for business.

The biggest barrier to entry though may be you. The ability to stream interesting and watchable content relies on the streamer and the quality of the editing. You would have to be sure that you do have the personality to carry this off. You may be a monotone bore like Ryan Slots or capable of putting on an extrovert clown show like Will Barnes (Hideous Slots) however you must not delude yourself into thinking you are something that you are not. You could waste a lot of time, money and effort before any delusion over these abilities is admitted if you do not consider it at the outset.

Try it as a hobby first and maybe the Gamblers Den guys would platform some of your content for you as I think that this was floated as an idea before.

Good Luck
