How does this company survive? They are so inept that they must lose a fortune on so many of their customers.

In August i signed up with them to provide Broadband at £20 a month for a year. They gave me the first two months free.

Next they phone me to offer Full Fibre over an 18 month contract at £30 a month with the first six months free (so pretty much the same price)

Two missed appointments later they eventually send an engineer to install it on the third appointment. Lo and behold they messed it up and i have had no broadband from then since the middle of January. They have sent out three routers and have been unable to resolve the issue in nearly a month.

The loss of service compensation runs at £8.06 per day and they are going to end up payin me more than my contract value in compensation even if they fix it within the next week (promises from poorly trained operatives working with a shambolic system do not inspire confidence though).

I extended my mobile contract to unlimited data and now I am happy to let them mess about for months more in the knowledge that i will get compensation until they either fix it or give up.

I am just waiting for the discussion with another poorly trained imbecile who will no doubt spend half an hour verifying my identity and trying to expain to me how they are here to "assist" another idiot customer who cannot work their foolproof system only for them to read the notes on the account and it dawns upon them they are unable to defend themselves from the poorest customer service ever known to humankind.

Any guesses on the eventual compensation they will have to provide?

Useless company still faffing around and compensation is now in excess of the total cost of the super duper fibre package over 18 months - seriously how does this company survive?

I'm with Talk Talk but i havn't had to talk with them yet!

The wifi is shit but i have everything wired so been no real issue.

They have been trying to push some 'new' fibre on me as well, funny thing is i'm already maxed out on the physical limits of the cabling to my house, yet they still try to argue and push it on me haha.

I guess they survive by doing shit like this to people none the wiser

It is now 3rd March and this dreadful company are still messing around with this. They send an email after every interaction expecting you to grade their performance.

Unfortunately there is no option to give them less than zero out of ten.

the most bizarre thing is the that Kevin (clearly not from anywhere other than a call centre on the Indian sub continent) was by far the most helpful whereas all the various people from the UK were just clueless, largely unhelpful and just box tickers who need a boot up the backside or a spell on the dole to realise that going to work should actually involve doing some work when you get there.

49 days without broadband and it takes them over 20 minutes every time I call to read the notes before issuing another excuse as to why it will take 3-5 further days to fix the issue. Utter shambles of a company.

On the morning of 4th March I was eventually connected less than 48 hours after demanding the direct email of the Customer Services Director in the UK - it took over two hours on live chat before they eventually relented and gave it out.

Talk Talk are just the poorest provider by such a long way and are best avoided no matter what price they offer you.

I'm suprised you stuck it out and didn't go elsewhere.

They have just credited me with £360 meaning that despite having no broadband connection beyond my data on my phone for seven weeks, it is free for the rest of the 18 month contract.

Seriously - how can this company make a profit if they cannot even respond properly to customers.

Happy Days
