Personally, I don't like slots very much, because there is no competition and little depends on you, only luck works. I recommend trying poker as an alternative. This is a serious game where you need to train, think about your every action and stay sensible. This is the only way to win and get real pleasure from the game. I repeat, this is purely my opinion, because I do not like slots.
