Hello everyone
From experience or actual knowledge, would you like to elaborate on the following please?
Does your stake change how the slot game will play?
I believe it does! I vary my stake many a time when spinning to find the one that seems to be delivering bonus teases more than the previous stake. Had some crazy wins drop in when changing. Is it sheer coincidence or not!
Is there such a thing as a 'hot slot' per advertisement by a little fire symbol on the thumbnail of the game?
I've definitely had occasions where a slot has been bonus happy and playing like a dream. Good timing or RTP balancing, I don't know.
If a game is playing shite then refresh it and you enter another game sequence where suddenly it starts playing. Is this luck OR do you enter a pre-programmed gaming session?
I've done this after 100+ spins of nothing to re-enter the game and it starts playing.
If you have bonus funds and are not far from completing wagering do the slots suddenly go cold because the system knows you are near to completing wagering?
Certainly seems like it sometimes.
When a game pauses or rather lags the reels for a couple of seconds which is not related to internet connection, is the game set of the reels being changed to a different series (e.g. Jammin Jars, any PlayNGo game)?
I firmly believe this is what is happening.
Does the time of day that you play affect how the slots play? If more people are online does that increase chance?
I've heard theories on when best to play and I have my own experiences of different times of playing.
I think it's a case of gamblers fallacy. I work in the casino industry and I know every single spin is entirely random. I've seen it before where someone goes from max stake (£5) down to 50p to try and "reset" the machine. I've seen people do this hundreds of times and I've seen it work but I've also seen it not work. I think in your case you will remember the times when you up the stake and hit a big win but how many times have you upped the stake and it paid nothing? People forget that stuff and only remember the positive things. It all comes down to luck in the short term and in the long term it's just maths.
To add to my post, I think as long as you enjoy the way you gamble or your beliefs in certain "myths" then it shouldnt matter. The issue comes when these fallacys start to make people gamble differently or beyond their means. I've seen it before, a big punter was winning big playing ponies in the casino. He started to believe that the only time he could win was when he played colour ponies on the live tables. I watched over a span of a year of him going from spending 10k a visit to doing £50 2 numbers £25 on each, that fallacy ruined him. I heard bandit say something in a recent video where he said he finds that slots don't pay when below £2 and he can only play magic mirror on a £5. It's just in the gamblers head and has no effect on whether someone will win or lose, session to session.
Excellent response @jimboscooker
The gambling myths and fallacies are of course widely believed and can actually be harmful to some problem gamblers.
Probably the most common would be surrounding the frequency of bonuses. These should be considered in exactly the same way as any other results that is entirely random. You clearly understand this however there are a lot of players who do not.
The stake has no bearing either except that where where the chance of a "pot" etc is weighted towards the stake.
The stated RTP of most slots is assessed after many many millions of spins and the odds of getting a bonus are exactly the same on each and every spin with the spins beforehand and afterwards having absolutely no bearing at all. There is no such thing as RTP balancing on modern slots with RNG's (Random Number Generators) although in the past when slots were less complicated there was a slight element of compensatory balancing to keep the payouts within certain limits. Gamblers very often overstated the importance/ impact of this though and it was often stupidly relied upon i.e. nobody has won for ages the machine MUST be due to pay out.
@weemonk the delay when a bonus or enhanced feature is awarded is a programming issue and may ot may not be intentional by the game developers however the outcome of spins are determined at the point the bet is placed and thereafter it is mostly all theatre. Jamming Jars once you gain the bonus is not at all random other than you would be awarded one a number of preset outcomes.

Cheers lads. Interesting responses.
