Hello GD community

Outside of my day job, as a hobby I like to diagnose and fix laptop or computer issues. I'll buy from eBay a laptop (these are my specialty) which someone deems as not working, do the repair and sell on for a small profit. I've been doing this on and off for many years and friends and family come straight to me when they have a problem. I enjoy the diagnostic mystery of it and there's a certain satisfaction to solving a problem. I can strip a laptop in 10 mins and put it back together (correctly) even faster.

So, why not make use of my knowledge if you ever have a problem. It's FREE of charge for the GD community. Most things are simple to fix. I can give advice or help you to make a repair. Whether you have a slow running system, software issue or hardware, it's up to you if you go with whatever advice I give.

Anything I advise or instruct can be found on the internet if you take the time and patience to look.

Feel free to post on here your problem. Sharing can create a knowledge base.

How are you with Surface Mounted Soldering? 🤣

I can replace a laptop screen, swap out a component, but the microsoldering is very slow to learn.

Soldering is my mates area. I inherited my mums shaky hands. Nowhere near as bad as her....e.g. if she held her hands out they would shake slightly, mine don't.....but doing really focused work like that, not worth trying. I have to brace my hand when putting thermal paste on 🤣
