Those members who enjoy poker have probably seen the controversial hand at Hustler Live Casino in the US.
This is beyond nuts
I’m on the fence. If she was cheating then why pick that spot when it would be super obvious, and she’s almost 50:50, and ran it twice.’just so strange. Don’t like that he made her pay it back tho. Innocent until proven guilty!
There was something not right that is certain.
I can understand the strange plays but her reactions and her body language just made her look guilty.
Good cheats take a bit of catching but bad cheats always end up telegraphing the fact that they are cheating such as the moron who made a similar call on Ultimate Bet years ago and after a few days on the 2+2 forum the whole scam was uncovered.
No-one acting sensibly could ever make that call or even find a justification for it. She took her time she was not drunk and unless this is some kind of publicity stunt then for me there is something so untoward here that it was just not honest.
Even asking for the money back unless you can prove that cheating took place is really really bad and makes Garrett look even worse than she does
I caveat that it's a few years since I played regularly - and was never even close to this sort of level anyway!
But this seems like a weird hand mis-read where she thought she had J3 as a genuine bluff catcher against all straight and flush combos? Still seems a bonkers place to take a stand like that, I had read Garrett had supposedly been very bluffy to this point, but not sure I'm ever committing even a stack I could afford to lose, let alone 6-figures (presumably mostly staked by backers that wanted someone with large, um, assets, to make the table more attractive for TV).
If it was on the river and she's calling with Jack high then sure, that looks as suspect as fuck, but as the graphics show even if she somehow knew his exact hand, she's still behind when she goes all in. I mean sure, given how much she's already committed to the pot, she does get value to call, but even so there must be so many better spots to get all your money in if you have got cheat mode on rather than risk being felted on a coin flip.
Even before the call, turn play sounds odd too... so he was the previous aggressor, bet turn, she clicked it back, he jammed. Similar to above, if you know he has 87s then why min-raise there? He's never folding the draw, you have position, just let him bluff and call down on a blank river?
Although maybe giving him all the money back was just a sign that it was all for the cameras anyway... and if so it's worked a treat as it's the first time I've seen mates and non-poker forums talking about poker in a while!
Personally I don't think she cheated. I watched the streams live for the most part and she is just a recreational player who made a series of irrational decisions. There were zero other hands where it looked like she was cheating during the 3 streams and if she did cheat it's one of the most ridiculous spots to do it. It was a 50/50 hand she ran it twice. Also people forget to mention that in the previous streams Garrett had bluffed her multiple times and in her opinion was the table bully. She took at stand and was right. What conspired after is a disgrace. It's been proven now that Garrett did in fact ask for the money back which is total negligence from Ryan Feldman to allow that to happen. Imo no further evidence will be found for a cheating device and garret will give the money back and maybe apologise.
