Having already swallowed up NetEnt they have now targeted BTG.

Wholesale consolidation now appears likely and this does not augur well for players as RTP's on the popular games will come under pressure.

Yep hate this. Gonna become a monopoly. No limit will be next. I think that's what the UKGC need to start looking at. Fuck the auto spins and quickspins. Make it so UKGC regulated casinos must choose the higher RTP options for games.

With the tired tripe BTG have been coming out with recently, I wouldn't bother. Is this why NetEnt games are crap?

I would agree that BTG's recent offerings hae not been as good however this company is still head and shoulders above the vast majority of other game developers and is an absolute cash cow.

Evolution has bought NetEnt because of the income generating content and will hopefully refresh the branding and the new output because NetEnt games had become tiresome and the lack of innovation allowed others to overtake them. BTG is in danger of being relegated too by new entrants such as No Limit City.

That BTG now has a price tag of around 450m Euros is testament to how well the company has done. In 2016 and 2017 many smaller casinos derived the vast majority of their income from a handful of games with BTG being the main cash generator. The proliferation of Megaways is wholly down to BTG and whether you like them or not they are the standard now. Very few developers even consider creating low volatility slots because of this.

Innovators, in whatever guise, are needed to keep the online slots industry moving along to create new and interesting games for us to enjoy.

Just ask yourselves the question now, would you be playing slots if the slots that were available in 2011 were the the best you could find.

All the world's a stage and most of us are desperately unrehearsed.
